After a five-year musical hiatus, Beach Fossils have finally released the long-awaited Somersault (as mentioned in a previous post). The album as a whole really touches on a whole range of emotions: pleasant, sad, loving, hopeful, lost… But it all works as a unified piece. I would use the word cohesive to describe the album – but then again it’s very hard to make a shoegazing album sound not cohesive.
