In this second episode of MELT Radio, I talk with one of my favorite musicians, the playwright/director Andrew Hoepfner. We talk about our shared childhood love of musical theater as what started us in music, his coming to NYC to try to make it as a musician, and then delving into the world of immersive theater. Andrew is a pioneer in immersive theater in Brooklyn with his former show Houseworld, and now the sequel to Houseworld– Bottom of the Ocean, or BOTO, as he calls it. It was a pleasure to speak with Andrew in his apartment on the Williamsburg/Greenpoint border to hear some of his musical influences and story.
