Although they have self-described their sound as “the polar opposite of thinking music,” Fat Dog’s latest track seems to be a slight departure from the band’s signature chaotic sound. The Brixton-based band’s debut album WOOF. was released just a few months ago on Domino Recording Co. and has been received as one of the more exciting, dance-y, and unpredictable albums of the year. “Peace Song” is adequately named as many can agree it is a more soothing listen (complete with a swelling synth section and children’s choir), while also furthering proof of what the band are capable of. “Peace Song” is a declaration that Fat Dog are a band who’s sound you can’t box in. In a way, with this release they have stayed true to their unpredictability.
