Foreign Love Language – “It’s Only Fun”

Foreign Love Language are a new five-piece alternative project based in NYC. The band is comprised of Virginia Little (vocals), Aydan Gooneratne (lead guitar), Skyler Hyatt (rhythm guitar), Andy Fabian (drums), and Rico Scipione (bass). In their debut single, “It’s Only Fun,” we’re introduced to the band via heartfelt lyrics, swelling sun-drenched guitars, and a sweet guitar solo.

“It’s Only Fun” takes listeners on the emotional rollercoaster of a relationship riddled with uncertainty – the ups and downs, the highs and lows, and the endless cycle of mixed signals. Little’s vocals carry the weight of inner conflict, exuding confidence with an underlying tone of melancholy and seriousness. Part of this seriousness stems from an embrace of destiny and the inevitability of an ending when the signs are clear. Gooneratne’s guitar solo, appearing in the final quarter of the song, shifts the tone dramatically, capturing the exhilarating release of escaping a destructive romantic cycle.

“It’s Only Fun” was released late last year, and the song will be available on all major streaming platforms this Friday (April 4th, 2025). This “official” DSP release comes ahead of an EP to be expected later this year via Crafted Sounds.
