Indie jewel alert: Crumb.
New York based dream-gaze group Crumb made their grand debut last summer with a modest collection of whimsical singles, and are now back with the release of their first EP, Locket. It’s impossible not to become hypnotized by 23-year-old Lila’s whirling voice, backed by the silky jazz progressions of her three bandmates. The produced sound is reminiscent of 60s psych, mixed with soul, R&B, and dream pop.
Crumb’s mesmerizing vocals make you feel like you’ve taken some good drugs, and are now infinitely floating through an underwater enchanted forest.
