Hirons is the musical project of British-American singer-songwriter, Jenny Hirons. Their latest single “The Rabbit Hole” is about being with someone who brings joy and escape, yet sensing the potential for losing control and slipping into the unknown (“falling down a rabbit hole”). The track is backed by bright synthesizers and Hirons’ equally-as-bright vocals, while a subtle melancholy hovers in the shadows.
The title of the new EP is Future Perfect, which refers to actions that will be completed in the future – it’s a cathartic way to look at look at childhood visions and hope as visions that gently disappear into the ether like a dream fulfilled. Future Perfect is also a breakup record, an unemployment record, an uncertain future record. Basically, it’s a time capsule of emotional limbo where dreams of the past, present, and future all collide.
“The Rabbit Hole” is released ahead of Hirons’ upcoming EP, Future Perfect, out November 14th, 2025 via Western Vinyl. Preorder available here.
