Show Review: Boogarins & Levitation Room (Soda Bar, 2/22/2024)

We caught Boogarins and Levitation Room on the second of a two-night run at Soda Bar in San Diego, CA as part of their double headlining 2024 West Coast tour. Opening for them was Chicano Soul collective The Heart Tones from Hawthorne, CA. They kicked off the night strong with a sensual and compelling set which immediately grabbed the enthusiastic early crowd.

As the crowd filed in, you got the sense that everyone was ready to have a good time with one of their favorite festival bands. Levitation Room played their usual psychedelic bangers and the accompanying disco ball at Soda Bar was a perfect touch.

Boogarins had the packed house grooving and swaying to their Brazilian neo-psychedelic jams for the rest of the night which was very impressive for their later-than-usual set time. Everyone in the room (including the band) welcomed the late-night party and stayed until the climatic end to an amazing evening of music. Check out a clip from the show below:
