Young Couple is a Danish art-rock band that intersects a variety of genres – drawing inspiration from shoegaze, dream-pop, ambient, neo-psychedelia, and post-rock – all under an umbrella of experimental textures that make their sound hard to pin down.
The five-piece has released a new track, “Isn’t Anything,” a droning composition that moves in waves, gradually folding in layers of instrumentation that culminate in swells that engulf the listener. While the guitar and bass craft an encompassing bed of noise, the saxophone glides through the haze, intertwining with the vocals in a way that feels both haunting and hypnotic. The result is a slow-burning, immersive song that blurs the line between structure and spontaneity.
Young Couple is comprised of Christian Hafdrup (drums), Eigil Fauerskov (guitar), Jens Brøndum (saxophone), Jonas Tøibner (vocals, guitar) and Mikkel Kruse (bass); and their debut album, yc, will be out next month.
“Isn’t anything” is released ahead of Young Couple’s debut album, yc, out November 7th, 2025 via Pink Cotton Candy Records. Preorder available here.
