The Notwist, a seven-piece band from Germany, return with “Projectors,” a folk and country-tinged song threaded with brass interludes. The track brings together all of the guests featured on their upcoming album: Enid Valu on vocals, Haruka Yoshizawa on harmonium, Chris Xiao on clarinet, and Mathias Götz on trombone. As the band puts it, the song’s lyrics were written “as if Rutger Hauer could sing them in Blade Runner,” a reflection on pushing through difficult times. A gently wavering guitar winds its way through the garden of airy, teetering instrumentation, giving the song a drifting and contemplative glow.
“Projectors” is released ahead of The Notwist’s upcoming album, News From Planet Zombie, out March 13th, 2026 via Morr Music. Preorder available here.
