Las Vegas punk trio We Might Die has released a new high-energy track, “Shit Cycle.” The song digs into the exhausting pattern of individuals who endlessly complain about their problems without ever making a real effort to change. True to its theme, the track itself is hook-driven and loops in a way that mirrors the cycle it calls out.
The band is fronted by teenage bassist and vocalist Liv, joined by her father Chance on the drums, a scene veteran with nearly 25 years in punk, grind core, and metal. Guitarist Travis rounds out the lineup and also contributes to the group’s songwriting.
“Have you ever met someone who just complains, constantly?” says bassist/vocalist Liv. “They seem like they are seeking solutions, but really they are just enjoying the attention and never intend on fixing their actual problems or situations. This song is about those people. They just continue the shit cycle, over and over and over again. Forever.”
