Belgium-based indie rock group Manitou has released “F.I.D.L.S. (Loop Exit Failed),” a track that feels both instantly familiar and excitingly fresh. Sharp guitars paired with a driving rhythm section create a sound that sits at the intersection of catchy indie rock and raw post-punk. The vocals shift between a clean, belted-out chorus and a vintage-filtered tone in the verses, adding contrast and character. The song culminates in a mild “freakout” of noise and unrestrained energy, giving it an explosive and memorable finish.
“F.I.D.L.S. (Loop Exit Failed)” comes ahead of Manitou’s debut full-length album which will be out later this year. The album will feature a collection of songs exploring rebellion, disillusion, and personal truth in a fractured world.
