bloom effect – “itero”

bloom effect merge the noise of shoegaze with the laid-back feel of dream pop, creating a product that feels like drifting through a sun-soaked soundscape. On their new track “itero,” fuzz and distortion subtly crashes with melodies that hold the song together, while lead singer/bassist Jula Lafit’s vocals stay bright through the mix, conveying assuredness and optimism over the wall of sound. The band is also comprised of Craig Weighman (guitar) and drummer Tom Rappa, with the trio spanning the Atlantic through roots in Argentina and the UK. This culture clashing results in lyrics in both English and Spanish. “itero” arrives ahead of the group’s upcoming six-track EP, set to release this fall. On this EP, bloom effect aim to continue their mission of using the project to create “a sonic vessel for cosmic, euphoric love,” merging sound and feeling into an immersive experience.

“itero” is released ahead of bloom effect’s upcoming EP, oscilón, out September 19th, 2025 via Kingfisher Bluez.
