Brigitte Calls Me Baby from Chicago has released a new track, “Slumber Party,” along with their sophomore album announcement. The new single explodes with an energetic anthem that feels both immediate and familiar, blending mid-century pop with the modern indie-rock aesthetic that the band is known for. As with every BCMB song, frontperson Wes Leavins enters with a commanding, charismatic presence, pushing emotion to rise and break open in ways that feel very sentimental and cinematic.
Leavins shares that he “wrote [the] song thinking about the type of people who isolate and ruminate, to the point where it becomes a chore to leave the home.” Much of the upcoming record was written on the road, giving the new material a lived-in urgency to mirror the emotional terrain of tour life.
“Slumber Party” is released ahead of Brigitte Calls Me Baby’s upcoming album, Irreversible, out March 13th, 2026 via ATO Records. Preorder available here.
