paper hats, a London-based alternative rock band, have released “Tether” ahead of their upcoming EP, due out this May. The track showcases the band’s ability to craft a trailing, spacey atmosphere that crashes and collides with their signature emotional noise-rock sound. A fully stripped-down interlude divides the song at the halfway point, offering a quiet moment of reprise before the vocals return in an almost spoken-word style. From there, the instrumentation gradually builds back up, rising to a melodic, crashing finale that closes the track with impact.
“Tether” is released ahead of paper hats’ upcoming EP, Once was enough, out independently on May 26th, 2026. Preorder available here.
