Girl and Girl are an Aussie garage rock outfit based out of Brisbane. The core band is comprised of Kai James (frontperson), his Aunty Liss (Drums), and longtime friends Jayden Williams (guitar) and Fraser Bell (bass). The group began releasing music in 2019 with their debut single “Zacharaiah’s Third Eye” and followed with a collection of infectious, dance-y singles and a few EPs, too.
Kai’s vocals pop through as a controlled chaos alongside the backdrop of catchy rhythmic jangly guitars and phrenetic drums. The lyrics inject the music with a youthful sincerity that engrosses the listener and reminds you of what you appreciate about straightforward garage rock-and-roll.
