The two-piece O. is a perfect example of a project that wouldn’t have came together if it weren’t for the pandemic. They formed their own bubble in London during the lockdown and have since curated a signature sound and show that can’t be duplicated elsewhere. Drummer Tash Keary and baritone saxophonist Joseph Henwood feed off each other in their live show, mixing jazz improvisation with experimental rock. Tash’s personalized drum kit allows her to come up with a distinct drum sound while the whole array of pedals, effects, and synthesizers tied to Joseph’s saxophone let him explore new sounds all coming from his sax. The futuristic sounds blasting from the speakers inside Hotel Vegas drew in those curious, and the combination with high energetic performance made them stay.
