Stateside has just released their third single, “Like A Rosary,” from their upcoming album, Where You Found Me, set to drop on June 6th. Pop-punk as a genre thrives when it has clear intentions, offering a raw emotional catharsis as the singer belts out lyrics over a thumping drumbeat and a guitar line that worms its way into your ear and refuses to leave. By that standard, Stateside’s new song is a slice of pure pop-punk brilliance.
From the bass-heavy guitar and drum intro to the first note sung by Anthony Lemus, you’re immediately pulled into the bittersweetness of life and the moments that leave an impression on us, good or bad.
