The Sunday night showcase at Midwest House had a strong start with Diet Lite, out of Milwaukee. The crowd was captivated by the sheer amount of energy the band transmitted from the stage. Complete with somersaults and air-kicks, Diet Lite’s music makes you want to grab a cheap beer and a well shot of whisky with your buddies at the bar. The band looks like they’re having more fun on stage than you are, until you realize that you just had an amazing night yourself watching the band perform. They are the sound of a quintessential rock-n-roll band you would hear on AM radio or a dive bar jukebox. Diet Lite are the band that you go and see because they remind you of why rock and roll can be so much fun to the point where it makes you think, maybe I should start a band.
